Competition Services

Race Car Builds and Preparation

Off the street, off to compete; AutoTechnic specializes in full ground-up race car builds for all budgets and goals. Bring us a donor car or we can find one for you! Our comprehensive builds include full suspension and chassis upgrades, brake upgrades, drivetrain upgrades, all necessary safety equipment, wheels and tires, a graphics package, and all the ancillaries to make your car ready to win from day one. Performance, quality, and fit-and-finish are guarantees for a car built by AutoTechnic. Contact us and we can discuss all the possibilities.

Race Engine Rebuilds

We have the ability to do full race engine rebuilds in our shop. Our experienced technicians have built championship winning engines for different classes and know how best to extract performance within the limitations of each class. Our engines have proven durable and are fast. Let us know your budget and how radical you want to get. Intakes, exhausts, and custom fabrication are also well within our abilities.

Roll Cages

We offer roll cage engineering and fabrication services for your vehicle. Every cage is professionally welded using the best materials available. Talk to us about specific design considerations and we can come up with a plan that will integrate well into the car. Proven, well thought out designs will ensure your cage looks professional, and improves chassis stiffness while keeping you safe.

Safety System Installations

Let’s face it, at times auto racing can be a dangerous sport and we feel that nothing is more important than staying safe. To keep you protected we offer a full compliment of safety accessories for your race car including:

• Racing harness installation
• Fire suppression system installation
• Racing seat installation
• Window netting
• Master electrical disconnects
• Lexan window installation

Custom Engine Management and Data Acquisition Installations

A race car is a thoroughbred and to make sure yours stays running in top form means that more often than not the factory engine management system is insufficient. We can install engine management systems that offer immense versatility, allowing you to tune for performance and longer engine life. We can also install data logging devices that enable you to review your performance at the track; improving your technique while ensuring your vehicle is healthy and running at 100%. We recommend products from the following companies:

• MoTeC
• Aim
• Stack

Chassis and Suspension Setup

Suspension tuning is vital to getting around the race track quickly and safely. Setting up a car properly is a delicate process and is something of a dark art for the uninitiated. That is where AutoTechnic is here to help. Our services include adjustments for the following vehicle characteristics:

• Ride Height
• Corner Balancing
• Alignment: Camber, Caster, Toe (John Bean Visualiner Pro32)
• Swaybar Settings
• Damper Settings
• Spring Rates
• Tire Pressures

We recommend the following manufacturers for quality suspension components:

• Bilstein
• Advanced Design
• BMW Motorsport
• H&R
• TC Kline

Performance Consultations and At-the-Track Test and Tune Support

Whether you are climbing behind the wheel of a race car for the first time, or are a seasoned veteran, feeling comfortable in your car is a key element behind turning fast consistent lap times. We at AutoTechnic combine driver input, vehicle data, and our wealth of racing knowledge in order to make you competitive no matter what your level of experience.

Thinking about racing for the first time? Come in and talk with us about your aspirations and we can point you in the right direction. We have come up through the levels of club racing and know how to get the best performance for your dollar.

If you already have a race car and need some help shaving a few tenths off your lap time, great. We offer full trackside support during test and tune days at many tracks in the Northeast.

Race Car Pre-Purchase Inspection

Purchasing a pre-built race car can be a financially savvy move for the right person, however it still represents a large financial commitment. We can give your potential car a thorough inspection to make sure that nothing was overlooked by the previous owner and to make suggestions where parts could possibly be replaced or upgraded. As honest as a seller may seem, nothing beats a PPI to find if something is amiss or perhaps illegal for the designated race class.

Race Car Storage and Transportation

We offer indoor race car storage in our climate controlled facility to keep your car out of the elements. Additionally, we can transport your car to a variety of race tracks in the Northeast.
